About Mugs

Ceramic holds the heat longer than thin porcelain, and the matte surface gives a grip that doesn't slip.
Four patterns
Fish, wave, olive and stripe – the same four that run through the serving bowls and butter dishes. Since every mug is painted by hand the brushwork varies between pieces, so four mugs with the same pattern still aren't identical.
Care
Hand washing is recommended to preserve the patterns. Not suitable for the microwave.
If you'd rather have glass than ceramic, see Coffee'n More – double-walled mugs in borosilicate glass that keep the drink hot and the outer wall cool.
