• Cork is a remarkable natural resource. Liga's cork comes from the Montado forests of Portugal, where the bark is harvested carefully and by hand every nine years – without harming the trees.
• Cork breathes. The natural flow of air and moisture makes the material ideal for placemats and coasters: non-slip, heat insulating and quiet on the table.
• Cork is good for the planet. Cork oak forests absorb around 32 million tonnes of CO2 every year, with the oaks of Portugal accounting for about 10 million tonnes. Every cork product you choose helps preserve these forests.
